The Print Atelier

Online Art Gallery, 2012-13

Montreal-based photographer Maude Arsenault had an idea for a gallery, focusing on fine art photography, that would exist primarily online. Using her connections, she was able to gather an impressive roster of established and upcoming photographers, presenting series or limited edition prints, each available in different formats. Manifold was given carte blanche to make that vision come to life in designing the interface of the gallery website. Manifold was also asked to create a blog, a newsletter as well as online ads for the gallery.

Maison Montures

Identity / Re-branding, 2014

In late 2013, Montreal vintage frame boutique Les Montures was ready to take its business to the next step and introduce its own line of glasses. To reflect this evolution, they decided to change the name of their business to Maison Montures. Manifold was asked to imagine an identity for the new brand; something that would break away from the vintage feel of the old identity; something that would be elegant, modern yet classic. For this assignement, Manifold created a double M symbol, a logotype and a custom typeface.

Maude Arsenault

Portfolio Website

Established Montreal-based fashion photographer Maude Arsenault commissioned Manifold to design and code her new portfolio website. The site had to incorporate her new identity, designed in collaboration with graphic designer Marie-Soleil Denault. Maude liked the idea of a horizontal scroll, as the main way of navigating through pictures, since she has a lot of work and it allows potential clients to quickly get of sense of what her work is about. Alternatively, a thumbnail view makes it easy to find a specific picture. The site is powered by Wordpress.
